Guts Poker Review

Guts Poker is a European poker room, part of the iPoker network, owned by the Scandinavian company of the same name. The poker room legally provides its services on the basis of a license from Malta and the UK Gambling Commission. The presence of these licenses is also a guarantee of the fairness and safety of the game.

The poker room in question appeared in 2016 and initially operated on the Microgaming network. Due to the liquidation of the MPN network, Guts Poker joined iPoker in 2020. Along with this room, other rooms from MPN moved to the new network, which contributed to a sharp increase in traffic.

The average daily attendance reaches about 7,000 players, which is quite a good result. Thanks to the support of statistics collection software, Guts Poker will be in demand among the regulars.

Traffic and game choice

Let's start our Guts Poker review with attendance. This room, along with other rooms of the iPoker network, is included in the TOP-10 in cash traffic. The peak attendance is in the evening Moscow time, when about 7 thousand poker players gather at the Guts Poker tables. In the lobby of the room you will not find exclusive types of poker, here you will find a standard selection of disciplines and formats:

  1. Hold'em and Omaha with limits from 0.01 / 0.02 euros to 5/10 euros.
  2. Hold'em with a short deck in the range of limits NL5-NL100.
  3. Fast poker: NL5-NL200.
  4. Lottery tournaments: from 1 to 100 euros.
  5. MTT and SnG tournaments.

As in all other major rooms, Guts Poker the most popular format here is No-Limit Hold'em. Here you can find a sufficient number of cash tables both at the minimum stakes and at the highest limits up to 1000 euros. The room is played only at 6-max tables. There are practically no 9-max tables. There are no waiting lists for cash tables.

Omaha is played in four formats: Pot-Limit, Pot-Limit Hi / Lo, Fixed-Limit and Fixed-Limit Hi / Lo. Basically, the game is only present in the pot-limit format. At each of the limits, up to 10 tables are collected at peak times, at the highest limits - up to 4 tables. Therefore, Omaha lovers can only consider the Guts Poker room as an additional room.

The iPoker network does not boast the largest tournaments with huge guarantees. However, there are a lot of regular events here, with a fairly wide range of buy-ins. Every day there are tournaments worth from 1 to 100 euros and guarantees up to 50 thousand euros (on Sundays). Among the most famous and major events are Main Sweat worth 50 € with a guarantee of 12K €; the main Sunday tournament for € 100 and a guarantee of € 40K; Ultimate Sweat with a buy-in of € 100 and a prize pool of € 50K.

The Twister or Spins format is the most popular among SNG players. These 3-max tournaments are hyper-turbo and only the first place winner will claim the prize pool. There are seven limits available - from 1 to 100 euros. The prize fund is formed randomly before the start of the game and depends on the dropped multiplier. Most often, the coefficients are x2, 3 and 5, and the maximum multiplication is x1000. Thus, by participating in the Spins with the largest buy-in, you have a chance to win € 100K.

Software review

Guts Poker software, like other rooms in the iPoker network, is developed by Playtech. The only difference from other skins is the color scheme. Windows PC users will be able to download a special poker application. But the owners of Mac OS will have to play through the official Guts Poker website, i.e. use the browser version.

You won't be able to download the room software to mobile devices either. However, an adapted version of the site has been developed for smartphones and tablets, which is correctly displayed on devices with any screen size.

To play classic SNGs, Spins, cash games and tournaments, you need to download the web application. The desktop client has the following features:

  1. Supported programs for collecting statistics, such as Hold'em Manager and Poker Tracker.
  2. There are no waiting lists at cash tables.
  3. You cannot view the players' nicknames from the lobby, they become visible only after you place the BB. This significantly complicates the process of finding tables with weak compositions..

Rake and rakeback at Guts Poker

Rake at Guts Poker is charged according to the classic weight contributed scheme, i.e. it depends on the amount of the contribution to the bank by each participant in the distribution. The commission in the room ranges from 5% to 6.67%. Also, the rake points accrued are influenced by the performance of the game and the total profit. Thus, plus-minded regulars will receive less rake than recreational players who play on a deposit rather than on winnings. As a result, the regulars will receive up to half of their rake. And the rakeback at Guts Poker is also paid out of this reduced rake.

In multi-table tournaments, the rake is included in the ticket price and is 10%, in Spins - 7%.

The Guts Poker loyalty program allows you to return up to 30% commission in the form of rakeback. The more you generate rake per month, the higher your VIP level and, consequently, the percentage of rakeback will be. To get real money for loyalty points, you need to change them yourself in the “My Account – Points Exchange” section. If you do not have time to change part of your glasses within a month, they will burn out.

Guts Poker has a welcome bonus for new players. At the first deposit, 1000 euros are credited. This amount is paid at the rate of 5 euros for every 25 euros of rake, which gives an additional 20% cashback. You have 60 days to clear the bonus. Rakeback at Guts Poker can be up to 50% during the welcome bonus.

To take advantage of this bonus offer, it is enough to deposit the minimum amount to your account - at least € 10.

Additional rakeback can be obtained by participating in various promotions and races. So, for fans of Spins, there is a Twister Races race with a prize fund of 12.500 euros. Also, money and tickets can be won for completing missions.

Financial transactions

Guts Poker players can use several payment systems to deposit and withdraw funds. Most often, poker players use Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz, PaySafe systems, and you can also make transactions using bank cards. Please note that in order to fund your account via Skrill, your wallet in the payment system must be linked to the same email as your Guts Poker account. The minimum deposit and cash-out amount for any method is the same and amounts to 10 euros.
